In 2009, Jessica undertook a 3-month Safle public art residency at Ruthin Craft Centre, developing site-specific artwork in response to the new architectural redevelopment designed by Sergison Bates architects. Rectangular planters wrapped in light reflecting fabric created a unique installation that came to life after dark. In the emptiness of the car park at night, linear patterns of white light were caught in car headlights as viewers drove around the geometric layout. The was inspired by the artists drive home at night over the horseshoe pass, North Wales, where reflective markings shone bright against the darkness of the mountains.
